i want the first scene of season 9 to be some sleazy creep trying to pick up this girl and he wraps his greasy arm around her and goes “so… did it hurt when you fell from heaven?” and she yanks out her angel blade and ganks him and as his mutilated corpse falls to the ground she mutters “i hate this planet”
I think in 9x01 we’re not going to see Castiel until the very end of the episode, when he shows up at the Winchester’s door, all tired and bedraggled and human.

Subplots I want in s9:
- cas learns to drive the impala
- dean teaches cas to cook
- sam and cas work through the rest of the mol files and come up with a brand spankin new organization system for them
- thrift store shenanigans
- cas trying various foods and turning out the be the pickeist eater ever, (“who doesn’t like bacon, sammy?? It’s unnatural”)
- cas teaching the boys new languages
- cas the gardner
- movie nights in the bunker
- cas makes a reference that dean doesn’t get
- dean teaching cas to shoot a gun and dean rolls his eyes and puts his chin on cas’ shoulder and puts his arms around cas and his hands over cas’ on the gun and murmurs into his ear, “like this”
Basically, if the SamnDean content tonight moves them forward both relationship-wise and as individual characters, I’ll be happy.
If it’s the same old exclusive I’d-die-for-yous stuff I’ll just be like, “Bored now. Where’s Cas?”
I really want to be able to enjoy the finale. So I’m setting my expectations super-low. And assuming that Jody and Kevin are both going to die.

All I want out of this season finale is for Cas to put his faith in Dean, and confide in him, and for Dean to hold faith with Cas, and trust him.
Something that I want that I’m sure we’re not going to get is
Cas mentioning to Sam that he went shopping for Dean to try to make things better. And for Sam to have this look on his face that’s a cross between stunned and amused. And then for him to realize that it’s not that amusing, and get serious.
And for Sam to sit Cas down.
And give him a crash-course on how human relationships work. And how exactly to make things better with Dean.

I didnt even think about this how did I not even think of this WOW THIS HURTS. Also, crossing my fingers with you.
On the one hand, I never want to get my hopes up with this show. On the other hand, I don’t like being too negative either, so I keep reminding myself that Carver has professed his fondness for Dean’n’Cas. So I’m expecting some good emotional content in the finale.

I just wished wed seen the bridge from wishing he was there to being pissed enough to ignore him and write him off as not part of the team. Especially when Dean was always the one holding him there it seemed like a huge reversal
I think we did? In 8x17, Dean was angry as soon as Cas left, people were talking about his attitude when he was telling Sam what happened in the car. He brushed Sam off when he suggested talking about his feelings wrt Cas, and he was dismissive when Charlie mentioned Cas. And of course there was the scene with Naiomi planting doubts in Dean’s mind. Plus it just sort of stands to reason - Dean has this terrifying, emotional experience with Cas, and then the guy just wings off?
And personally I don’t think Dean was writing Cas off. He told him to stay in the bunker, not to get out of his sight and not come back. He just needs some time to be angry at him. (And for Cas to clue in and show Dean that he trusts him and can be trusted back).

i think Dean is in this mental state that when he realises that Cas decision means hes leaving forever, hes just going to be 100% done and resigned and too hurt/proud to let Cas know how he personally feels about that. :(
I think he’ll be 1100% done and hurt, but angry, angry enough to let Cas know exactly how he feels.
I’m hoping. Fingers crossed.
(I’ve been pretty good at anticipating Dean’s emotional state thus far. before 8x22 aired I expected a level of pissiness from Dean towards Cas, unlike all the coda fics people were writing, and I wish I’d said something. But I could be wrong. I hope I’m not.)
I’m looking forward to Dean’s reaction to Cas telling him that he’s working on shutting down Heaven,
I’m expecting it to be something like, “When did this become a thing? And why? And what??

“… and you’re just gonna up and leave?”
And then demons attack or Sam interrupts or something idk.
