Sometimes I think about Giles/Jenny.
And how it started out as this adorable rom-com ship that was sweet and little sexy and just really cute. And you think you know what you’re getting into.
And then it gets angsty. With secrets and hidden pasts and stuff. But that’s okay, because without pain you can’t really appreciate happiness.
A-and then… then… wHYYYYYYYyyyyyyyYYYYYYyyyyyyy??!?!!?!?!?!?!??
I love how a spaceship full of bugs is a canon part of the Buffyverse now.

one of the things that I loved about BtVS is that all of the characters could be so terrible at times and so wonderful at other times. & it was Xanders crush on Buffy that helped me realize I was bi, because I realized I felt the same way about her.
:)
The characters on Buffy feel like real people to me, in a way that characters from other shows don’t.
And Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Man. All the characters are so flawed, but they all feel so real. I feel for Buffy so much. The number of times in that episode that my heart broke for her.
And Tara too - she found hope in life, and a sense of positivity in herself through her relationship with Willow, but Willow let her down. Which of course she did. Because you can’t rely on other people for stuff like that, you have to find it in yourself - which is why season six was when I really began to find Tara interesting, because she finally began to grow in that way. Willow, on the other hand, I really stopped relating to, because she’s terrible to Tara and her friends, but she remained a really interesting character, and I can still see the through-thread of who she is that carried throughout the series from season one. She was the nerd in the background, but then she becomes powerful, with a girlfriend who thinks she’s so cool and looks at her with stars in her eyes, and it’s so far from who she used to be, and she doesn’t want to lose that.
And I just love everything about Anya and the things Emma Caulfield does with her face. And the unique perspective Anya offers. And I know Xander is terrible, but I grew up with him, like I did with all the characters on Buffy, and I just can’t bring myself to dislike him.
And Spike is just so fucked up. And is simultaneously the worst and best thing for Buffy at the moment. And Daaaaawn and her klepto ways - I know a lot of people don’t like her. But I like her. And GiiiiiIIIIIIiiiiiles. He knew that something was going on with Buffy that the others weren’t seeing. He understands her. Like in season 3 when Buffy gets back, he’s the only one who really gets her. I mean in season 6, there’s Spike who understands Buffy, but my point is that Giles understands Buffy in a way that her friends don’t. And I kind of ship them. And the way he sings about wanting to protect her while throwing knives at her. And his singing voice… sigh. Just, Giles…
And Sweet was so perfect. The way he looked just close enough to the traditional devil. The way he was able to go from charming to menacing, even through all the make up and prosthetics. His grace and style. That it was enough of a win for him to just screw with everybody.
And the lyrics. All of them were so good. My favourite, though, is
Understand, we’ll go hand in hand, but we’ll walk alone in fear
Jesus. It speaks so much, not just to the characters on the show, but to the human condition.
So, so good.
Dean/Cas or Giles/Jenny
So, where does one find high-quality Buffy the Vampire Slayer screencaps these days?

Sometimes when I feel like weeping I listen to this.
Has anyone talked about how The Avengers is basically the episodes “The Yoko Factor” and “Primeval” from season 4 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer?
